Management Team


Frederick T. Croft —Chief Executive Officer  

Mr. Croft acquired Enterprise in 2005, and since then has established an experienced and professional senior management team.   Prior to acquiring Enterprise , Mr. Croft was Director of Research and Director of New Product Development for ten years with Van Kampen Merritt, a financial services firm.  In these positions, he implemented a number of new products, including the Van Kampen Funds, a line of mutual funds.  After the sale of Van Kampen Merritt to Xerox in 1984, he managed the family office and business of the Van Kampen family for eleven years.  The family’s investments were primarily start-ups or turnarounds, including natural resource, manufacturing and financial service firms.  Mr. Croft managed the startup of a new securities firm, and then oversaw the acquisition and integration of one of its primary competitors.  He managed the acquisition and turnaround of Fitch Investors Service, a nationally-recognized rating agency.  After retiring from the Van Kampen family office, he acquired or invested in a number of companies where he assumed a senior management role.  He acted as interim President and Chief Underwriting Officer of a financial guaranty firm, and Chief Operating Officer of a medical software company.  Mr. Croft holds a B.A. in Fine Arts, (Cum Laude), from Amherst College and a M.B.A. from Tulane University


Michael Coon — Executive Vice President—Sales and Marketing
Mike Coon began his financial services career 20 years ago, beginning his equipment finance tenure at First Michigan Bank (FMB). At FMB, Mike handled a wide variety of lending products, including purchasing lease transactions discounted from lessors and brokers.  In February 1996, Mike founded Enterprise Capital Corporation, originating equipment finance transactions in the Midwest.  In 2001, upon raising private investment capital, the company became its current entity, Enterprise Funding Group. With the capital infusion, Mike lead the transition from a small, regional lessor to a nationally recognized equipment finance company.  Today, Mike is mainly focused on managing the originations process, however is very active in Enterprise's lending relationships.

Mike is the Executive Vice President of Enterprise Funding, and has worked in most areas of the business including credit, collections, marketing and funding.  Mike is a graduate of Central Michigan University and is an active member of the NAELB and NEFA, where he is a regular speaker and contributor.


Lee Martin —Vice President—Sales
Mr. Martin joined Enterprise in 2006.  Mr. Martin has twenty five years of sales and marketing experience in the equipment finance and leasing industry holding a number of positions with regional banks, including PNC, BB&T and Lakeland Bank.  With Mr. Coon, Mr. Martin has been primarily responsible for the company’s growth in volume.  While at PNC, Mr. Martin’s accomplishments resulted in his Promotion to Regional Sales Manager. While with BB&T, Mr. Martin had responsibility for all syndications and was promoted to the Manager of all Indirect Originations.  Since joining Enterprise , Mr. Martin has been instrumental in increasing sales from $10 million to $47 million annually through his contacts within the industry.  Mr. Martin has been a member of ELFA, NAELB, UAEL & EAEL.  He is currently serving as the Carolina Regional Chair for the NEFA.  Mr. Martin has a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University and a M.B.A. from Fontbonne University . 

 

Bonnie Whittles — Executive Vice President—Operations
Ms. Whittles joined Enterprise in 2006.  Prior to joining Enterprise , she held a variety of positions in servicing, collections and repossessions with leading regional banks and GMAC.  Ms. Whittles started as Manager of Collections, and has assumed a broader role in the management of the Company as Executive VP, Operations. Ms. Whittles is responsible for a number of accomplishments at Enterprise including: developing the Collections Department; establishing the Customer Services and Broker Services Departments; and creating and managing Portfolio Services LLC.  Ms. Whittles attended Ferris State University and Davenport University .

 

Ben Fellows — Senior Vice President—Finance and Accounting
Mr. Fellows joined Enterprise in 2002 and has held a variety of positions across the Company.  He received several promotions and in January, 2008 he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance.  Prior to joining Enterprise , he worked at a leading regional bank.  Mr. Fellows is responsible for a number of important accomplishments at Enterprise, including: maintaining the Company’s financing relationships and securing $120 million of limited recourse financing; overseeing the repurchase and resale of the Magnet portfolio; converting the Company’s lease servicing system from Turbo Lease to LeasePlus, including implementing and adding key data measures to track portfolio performance;  and implementing a Lease Portfolio Insurance Program.  Mr. Fellows holds a B.A. in Accounting from Hope College .

 

Mark Arnemann —Vice President—Credit
Mr. Arnemann joined Enterprise in 2008 after a 30 year career in commercial and industrial lending at various regional banks where he held various senior responsibilities in equipment finance and credit management. Mr. Arnemann has managed group loan portfolios in excess of $150 million and credit officer and support staffs of up to seven individuals during various commercial bank assignments.  Additionally, he has prior experience with equipment vendor finance programs and lease portfolio purchases.  Mr. Arnemann holds a B.A in finance from Western Michigan University . Mr. Arnemann is also a State of Michigan Certified Personal Property Tax Examiner and has conducted fixed asset tax examinations for businesses in Indiana , Michigan , North Carolina and Tennessee .
